Summer Inclusion Support Service at PISE

PISE is happy to provide a variety of options for participants who require inclusion support. If your child requires inclusion support please read the instructions below on how to register and review our frequently asked questions. If you still have questions regarding our Inclusion Support Service email inclusion@pise.ca.

Registering your Child for Inclusion Support:

At PISE we do our best to provide inclusion support to as many participants as possible, while still providing the opportunity for participants to have the best camp experience possible! Participants are eligible for up to THREE weeks of Inclusion Support services each summer, on a first come, first serve basis. Our staff are unable to provide personal care such as toileting or feeding.

STEP 1: Review our camp offerings, and decide on your desired dates for your child to attend a PISE camp.

STEP 2: Register your child in an Inclusion Support camp week. Please note you do not have to register your child in the actual camp, registration in an Inclusion Support camp will secure your childs spot in your desired camp. Our Inclusion Coordinator will reach out to you directly confirming your Inclusion Support, and will assist you with registration and payment in your desired camp.

If your desired week is full, add yourself to the waitlist or see if a different week is still available.

STEP 3: Once you have received confirmation, you will be requested to complete and submit our Intake Form. This must be submitted within 14 days of registration. If we do not receive the Intake Form we will be unable to support your child.

STEP 4: Attend camp with a PISE Inclusion Support Leader!

Frequently Asked Questions:

Inclusion Support camp spots are full, is there still a chance my child can attend a PISE camp?

YES! Add your child to the waitlist. Waitlists often see a lot of movement in the months leading up to summer. Our Inclusion Coordinator will reach out to waitlisted participants in order, as spaces open up.

Can I hire my own support worker for my child, such as their Education Assistant at School?

Yes, we are happy to work with families who have funding or cover the costs of their own external support. If you have external support for your child please contact inclusion@pise.ca for more information. External support must have a valid Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sector Screening and abide by the provided PISE policies and procedures.

Please register your child in your desired summer camp, NOT an Inclusion Support spot.

My child needs support with personal care and toileting, how can they attend a PISE camp?

If your child needs support with personal care, we recommend seeking external support or speaking with your Supported Child Development Consultant for additional options.

My child can attend camp any week in the summer, should I register them for a spot in all weeks or pick our top three?

You can register your child for all camp weeks that they are able to attend. Our camp coordinator will provide you with a maximum of three camp weeks and will assist you in registration for the actual camp. Your child will be removed from additional Inclusion Support camp week spots.

Am I guaranteed three weeks of Inclusion Support for my child?

We are unable to guarantee our maximum of three weeks of Inclusion Support. Support spots are offered on a first come, first serve basis. To increase your chances of receiving three weeks of support, be sure to register early.
