PISE Youth Camps

Come spend the Summer at PISE with our Youth Leadership, Youth Performance and Active Girls camps!
By developing physical literacy throughout our life we are able to maintain social inclusion. The activities that we choose to engage in, especially during childhood and adolescence, are heavily impacted by the choices of our peers. While we know not everyone is going to be able to perform all activities to the same level, exposing children to a wide range of movements in a wide range of contexts increases the possibility that the individual will be confident to participate in that activity later in life.
Youth Leadership at PISE (Ages 14-17)
In PISE’s Youth Leadership camp, teens will have an opportunity to learn leadership, communication, and role modelling skills. Youth will learn from the PISE Physical Literacy Team about fundamental movement skills, observation and analysis. Through practical experience, youth will gain knowledge about the principles of physical literacy, how to lead a group and encourage kids to be active for life! Each youth will participate in at least one week volunteer placement in one of our kids’ summer camps! They will learn firsthand what it’s like to be a summer camp leader at PISE.

Youth Performance Camp (12-15)
Are you looking for the expertise and facilities to help you take your game to the next level? PISE Strength and Conditioning Coaches will put you through your paces each day, focusing on building strength, speed and conditioning through training foundations, games and activities. Participants will explore a holistic approach to sport, health and wellness. Facility access includes the Fitness Centre, Movement Studio, 400m track, outdoor training zone, newly renovated gymnasium and full turf field. We’ll be sure to save time in the afternoon for some fun, too!
This camp is open to participants aged 12-15. Participants should motivated and prepared for a high intensity week of programming.
Active Girls! (Ages 11-15)
This program is designed to introduce participants to a variety of sports and activities, including dynamic movement and foundational strength and conditioning principles. With a focus on skill development, physical and mental growth, and preparing the body for different activities, participants will learn how to stay active in ways that are fun and effective. Specifically designed with female cognitive and physical development characteristics in mind, and led by female staff with diverse expertise in sports and physical activity, this program is perfect for all skill levels and offers a welcoming space to explore new sports, build strength, and improve fitness.
All Active Girls camps are hosted at PISE (4371 Interurban Rd, Victoria).
