Designed for young athletes playing sports and youth looking to live a healthy, active life, our youth programs develop strength, mobility and conditioning critical to athletic development, injury prevention and overall health and wellbeing. PISE is proud to offer programs both at our facility and in the community.

Youth Strength and Conditioning: ACL Injury Reduction Training

This is a 6-week introduction program for youth athletes (12-18yrs) to learn about and experience injury reduction training. Athletes will participate in a 1.25 hour long training session led by qualified Strength & Coaches and will receive a home program.
  • Education will include: general knee anatomy, understanding the ACL and its function, ACL injury statistics and causes.
  • Practical program will focus on proper warm-up techniques, strength training, jumping and landing mechanics, and running agility.

Coached by: Kiersten McLeod and Melissa Pankratz, S&C Coaches with Athletic Therapy education, who have both had personal experience with ACL injury/reconstruction and are passionate about prevention.

This program will focus on Dynamic Movement Preparation, Fundamental Movement Skill development and introductory Strength and Conditioning movements and principles, aimed at increasing speed, strength, mobility and endurance. Designed for girls aged 11 to 15 at any skill level and  coached by PISE Strength and Conditioning coaches. A great program for athletes looking to improve and for beginners looking to gain skills and fitness.

Youth Performance Camp (12-15)

Are you looking for the expertise and facilities to help you take your game to the next level? PISE Strength and Conditioning Coaches will put you through your paces each morning, focusing on building strength, speed and conditioning. Participants will also work with a sport psychologist, a yoga instructor and a registered dietitian as we explore a holistic approach to sport, health and wellness. We’ll be sure to save time in the afternoon for some fun, too!

This camp is open to participants aged 12-15. Participants should motivated and prepared for a high intensity week of programming.

Youth Strength and Conditioning: Performance

This co-ed program will focus on performance elements, with a higher training intensity than the Youth S+C Foundations program. Open to 13-17 year old’s, the program is coached by PISE Strength and Conditioning Coaches, utilizing our Fitness Studio as well as our Fitness Centre and outdoors spaces. Participants will learn how to take their training to the next level with more advanced movements and training plans.
